"KTG-Technology proved to be a valuable partner in their assistance with implementing a comprehensive technical infrastructure for CHASS. Their expertise has provided CHASS the opportunity to build a secure, stable, redundant IT infrastructure; including network, server and storage environments. Having such an infrastructure has changed the way our organization communicates, and executes the day-to-day business functions more efficiently.

One of the most positive returns on our engagement with KTG, was the ability to learn and gain the experience necessary for supporting our infrastructure in-house, saving on maintenance costs and growing our talent organically."

"The Flint Public Library, though a relatively small operation (with about 200 workstations and 9 servers), has a fairly complex set of challenges from an IT standpoint.

We provide computer access to the public, so workstations must be locked down in a way that the computer is in pristine condition for each user. Our library catalog, with its database of current patrons, is used for authentication purposes for public computer access and other applications. We are required by law to filter our Internet access.

In addition, our internal IT support is limited: with a Main Library that is open 66 hours a week and three branch libraries open four days, we have one full time PC support person, plus a few hours a week from one of our librarians.

The Flint Public Library has worked with Knight Technology Group for more than five years, and with Ken Rutyna previous to that time. Mr. Rutyna essentially serves as our off-site system administrator and network engineer. We consider KTG staff as quasi-library-staff and just as essential as our in-house staff.

During these five years, KTG has helped us design a system of hardware and software that has extraordinary “up time” and has minimized the repair and troubleshooting time required of our internal IT staff. Most days, we have only two or three IT trouble tickets submitted, and many of those are printer jams or other minor issues.

Mr. Rutyna brings a level of expertise to our IT operation well beyond what we could afford to pay for in-house. Because of his extensive knowledge and experience, the services he provides are very cost effective for us. He is able to solve problems quickly and efficiently, most often via remote support. With VPN access, he performs server updates during our closed hours without incurring overtime for our staff or downtime for our patrons.

Within the past two years, KTG redesigned our entire network structure as part of an upgrade to the system and a change of Internet providers. This was a major undertaking that required reworking the entire IP structure of our four-building network. With the careful advanced planning of KTG, we accomplished the cutover to a new network and new Internet provider over a Saturday night/Sunday, and were up and running for patrons on Monday.

KTG’s support is of top quality and has always been accessible when we need it. We have not yet posed an IT problem to KTG that they have not solved in a timely and professional manner. Best of all, KTG continuously monitors our system and initiates recommendations for changes and improvements."

Their services have always been outstanding and we have complete confidence in their advice and recommendations. They are extremely competent and professional and the needs of the client are always their highest priority. It would be a tall order to find another technology company on par with Knight."

"A computer network is only as good as its technician and we have the most dependable of both. Ken has been our technician for 9 years and the relationship has been very successful. He has always responded to our computer issues quickly and efficiently …. And in many cases has alerted us to future issues and requirements. KTG is our IT department!"

"Knight Technology Group is my “go-to” group when I need help! They have technical knowledge and expertise to help meet the needs of my organization. As a public library, we often need flexibility, and KTG is always there for us. We have been able to upgrade and stabilize our Windows domain infrastructure, securely upgrade our wired and wireless networks, and implement some tools for ease of management of our 150+ client PCs. They provide high-quality customer service at reasonable prices. I highly recommend them to anyone needing technology expertise and assistance."

"Superior Capital is a small company with a heavy reliance on our technology systems. Disaster struck in the form of a pipe bursting directly on top of our computer and phone servers at a time when all of our investment team was traveling. Our server and system were presumably ruined. After a full night of work and physically borrowing pieces from other servers, the KTG team had us back in business by 8:00 the next morning with fully functioning email. Ken and his team was there for us when we needed them most. They utilized incredible resourcefulness and creativity in keeping our system alive until a full replacement could be made. Through KTG’s hard work, a terrible calamity became a minor inconvenience."
